Real Estate Deals Plus: Italy After Spain On West Broadway

Upscale apparel and accessories retailer Piero Guidi has signed on for its first U.S. store. The Milan-based company recently signed a 10-year lease for 1,800 square feet at 430 West Broadway, between Spring and Prince streets. Asking rent for the space, which includes an 1,800-square-foot basement, was $350 a square foot. "Rents had dropped during the downturn, and they're coming back very strong," Faith Hope Consolo of Prudential Douglas Elliman, said of the prime SoHo strip. Ms. Consolo and her colleague, Joseph Aquino, represented both Piero Guidi and landlord United Land.
