Walmart Scouts For Space in Manhattan

When next year's holiday shopping season kicks off, Manhattanites will no longer have to leave town to hunt for bargains. Despite opposition from retail unions and City Council, Walmart, has been scouting out small floorplates in Chelsea and the Upper East and West sides. "I've been talking with them about different parts of the five boroughs, and locations all over Manhattan," said Faith Hope Consolo, chair of Prudential Douglas Elliman's retail division.
